i'm too far behind on my facebook newsfeed, on my livejournal friendspage, on this, on that, on the other. time to declare internet feedruptcy so i can make some progress on my to-do lists.

if you have something important, email me. (protip: what you have isn't important.)

i've been back in chicago for a couple of weeks. i haven't accomplished much, though not for a total lack of trying. i need to write an entry about what i've been up to, so don't let me forget to do that.

news from the "last remaining holdout" department: i finally set up a facebook profile, and have been in the process of migrating my shit over there from myspace. if you're reading this and we're not already fb friends, won't you please add me? this was probably not the best decision, considering how much work i need to do right now to get my life in order - facebook is quite the timesuck. but whatever. with me, if it's not one thing, it's another.

the main reason i'm posting this is for lj-friends in chicago. i won two tickets to the daniel johnston show at metro tomorrow, which is awesome. i'm 1000% broke and wouldn't be going if i had to pay, and the inspiration one gains from watching DJ perform might be just what i need right now to kick me in the ass. the second ticket is probably going to go unused, however, so if anyone wants to accompany me, do please holler.

a truly touching and inspiring story rises to the top of the sea of john hughes death coverage, and continues on the following day.

of all the obituaries and memorials i've read since the man's untimely passing, i think these two blog entries do him the most justice. nicely done, alison.

no-one will know how evil i really am
no-one will know how evil i really am
cos i like to wear disguises, and i like to disguise my plans
no-one will know how evil i really am

no-one will know truly how i feel
no-one will know how i truly feel
cos i can no longer differentiate between what is fake and what is real
i don't know how i feel
